It looks like the Packers will have Jordan Love under center in 2023. Green Bay finished last year with a losing record, something that hasn’t happen in years. After the season, Aaron went on a darkness retreat in Oregon. He was there for two weeks thinking on what he wants to do in his career. When he left the retreat, the answer was, he still wanted to play. The next thing to figure out was where he was going to play in the 2023 season. He got a feeling from people that Green Bay didn’t want him. the other option is to play for the New York Jets. At the end of the season, the Packers said they are confidant in what Jordan Love can do as their quarterback.
This offseason surly seems a lot like the end of Favre’s career in Green Bay. Rodgers sat behind Brett for three years before taking the reigns. Jordan Love has sat behind Rodgers for the last three years. This was what Brian Gutenkunst wanted when he drafted Love. Packer fans have questioned the pick of Love, since the moment it happened. This offseason was the first time the front office said Jordan was ready. If he is ready and plays well, the front office looks smart. Jordan Love is younger and more athletic than Rodgers.
No one is saying that Love will be as good as Aaron, but if he is a good to great quarterback, the franchise will be set up for another eighteen years.
