The Wisconsin women’s basketball team went 13-17 last season under Marisa Moseley. In the offseason, Chris McIntosh fired Moseley and hired Robin Pingeton. Robin coached Missouri for the last fifteen years and tallied a record of 250-218. Marisa Moseley had a record of 47-75 in her tenure at Wisconsin. Pingeton’s Tiger teams won 20, plus four different times. She also took Mizzou to the NCAA tournament four times, but they went to a postseason ten times. Marisa Moseley took Wisconsin to the postseason once in her tenure.
The Badgers are 13-7 and it’s still January. Wisconsin has beaten two top twenty- five teams this year, which I don’t think Moseley accomplished ever. In 2025-2026 the Badgers have a chance to make it to some type of postseason. We don’t know if it will be the NIT or the NCAA Tournament. One thing is clear, the Badgers are in great hands as a program, under Pingeton.
