Wisconsin played against Minnesota last night. Dr. Jeckyll came out to play. Noah Winters hit his first three point shot to take a 3-0 lead. Minnesota then got in rhythm and took the lead. They were hitting three pointers at ease and Wisconsin couldn’t stop them from scoring inside. The Badgers did not make a two point shot, until one minute remaining in the first half. Their outside shots were not falling either, so Wisconsin went into halftime losing 35-17.
In the second half Mr Hyde showed up. The Badgers played better defense, which led to open shots. Wisconsin started to hit them. Their defense tightened up and Wisconsin made a run. Minnesota kept hitting shots to keep them up, but only holding a four or five point lead, instead of the eighteen point they had at halftime. The Badgers hit their three point shots, including a four point opportunity, by Carrington. Wisconsin took the lead in the last four minutes and hung on to win.
Wisconsin finished 13/31, 42 percent from three, 73 percent from the line, and 19/48, 40 percent from the field. Minnesota shot 46 percent from the field 11/27, 41 percent from three, but what won us the game, was that they shot 55 percent from the line. The Badgers play the Buckeyes on Saturday, at 2 pm Eastern time.
