Where have the Brewers Bats Gone?

In the last two games, one against the Pirates, the other against the Mets, we have scored only two runs each game. The Brewers were on an eleven game winning streak before Friday’s lost. During those games, they were scoring quite a lot. One game they scored fifteen, another game they scored fourteen, but averaged about five to seven runs. Keston Hiura, Jackie Bradley Jr., and the others that were struggling were finally hitting. Now in the last two games they are going backwards. Hiura struck out four times last night and JBJ struck out three times. They both did not record a hit, or get on base, by way of a walk. The Brewers Pitching was good enough to win. Woodruff gave up four runs in 6.1 innings of work, which should be good enough to win. Omar Narvaez hit a home run early in the game.

The other run came in the ninth, way of a Tyrone Taylor single, which scored Willy Adames. The Bullpen did their job, by not allowing a score. The Brewers have two more games against the Mets. They then travel to Cincinnati for four games. Right before the All-star break, Milwaukee has a seven game lead, on the Central Division right now. Hopefully they find their bats to add to their lead.
