NFL Draft

Everybody thinks that we all know what Brian Gutekunst is going to do on Thursday Night. He is going to take a wide receiver no he is going to take a tackle or even a defensive Back In the first round. Now I agree with all three of those positions are needs for the Green Bay Packers. I don’t think Brian Gutekunst Knows what position he will draft. Now let us talk about the three positions I mentioned.

Wide Receiver– There are a lot of good receivers in this Draft like Rashod Bateman, Rondale Moore, Terrance Marshall, Kadarius Toney to name a few. I think all three could help the Packers there’s only a couple I would take in the first round being Rashod Bateman or Terrance Marshall. Green Bay needs a slot receiver and a number two Receiver. Those two prospects are the two best that could fill those needs and possibly end up at 29 for us to pick.

Offensive Tackle– Like Wide Receiver there are many great tackles out there but the problem is that the first round talent are most likely not going to be around at 29. Here are a few Tackles that I think are worth drafting in the first round. Penei Sewell, Oregon, Rashawn Slater, Northwestern, Samuel Cosmi, Texas, Liam Eichenberg, Notre Dame,Jalen Mayfield, Michigan. If the Packers draft a tackle in the first round he is the starting right tackle for the next 5-8 years so they can’t just draft a tackle because of he plays tackle he has to be the right fit.

Defensive Back– Not like Tackles or Wide Receivers. I don’t think there are a lot of first round must have Defensive backs out there. This is a deep defensive back draft class but only two or three should go in the first round that’s just my opinion. The three prospects I think are Patrick Surtain II, Alabama, Jaycee Horn, South Carolina, Greg Newsome, Northwestern. I doubt any of those three are going to be there at 29 so they have to trade up and we all know Gutekunst has no problem doing that.

So to finish up this post like I said at the beginning we all have a guess on what Brian Gutekunst will do but none of us know for sure. We didn’t think we were going to take Jordan Love last year but hey he is now Aaron’s back up.

All I know is it should be a very interesting Thursday Night. I know I will be watching hopefully you will too.

I will being posting a recap of the Draft on Monday May 3rd to Discuss what I thought of the 2021 NFL Draft
