Trade Deadline Acquisitions

July 30th came and went this year, so did the MLB trade deadline. Milwaukee got two relievers on the 30th and an All Star infielder earlier in the week. Now that it’s over, did the Brewers get better or did they stay pat? Let’s talk about Eduardo Escobar. He is having a great year he had twenty-two home runs in Arizona and hit one in his first Brewers game. Eduardo will play all over the infield, mostly at third or short stop, which should help Adames and Urias. The Brewers also got Daniel Norris from Detroit. Daniel has an ERA of 5.89 which is not good, but Milwaukee has had luck with pitchers on down years helping them. If the Brewers can help him get his Era around 2.00 it will be a great deal. In the twelfth hour, they got John Curtiss from the Twins.

Daniel Norris and John Curtiss are both in the minors right now, which is a good sign for our bullpen. Every team needs depth and with the two reliever deals we got it. The Escobar deal was a great deal. We need all the help to make sure we hold on and win the Central. It was a quiet trade deadline for Milwaukee and that’s ok, because we already have a good team. The three additions the Brewers got should help us get back to the playoffs and hopefully win it all.
