Where Did the Bats Go In Detroit

The Brewers played a quick two game series against the Detroit Tigers. Detroit just swept the Tampa Bay Rays in a three game series, before we came to town. Milwaukee came in off a three game sweep of the Indians. In those three games, the Brewers scored twenty-four runs. If I was a betting man, I would think the Brewers would sweep the Tigers or a least take two of three games. The Tigers took both games and made Milwaukees bats go silent. The starting pitching was great again, the first game went eleven innings, the second game they allowed five runs. Most of them came in the seventh or later. Milwaukee just could not buy a run to save their life. Our next opponents are the Cubs, so hopefully our offense shows up and we sweep them.

It would be a great feat, if the Brewers could win one hundred games this season, but our offense has to score runs. Milwaukee has the talent to score, as we have seen this year. I hope we can get back to it. The Brewers only have four more series to get going. I think they will get the bats back. They are too good not too.
