Saturday, marks Bret Bielema first game back at Camp Randall. He left Wisconsin in 2012 after the Big Ten Championship game. After Wisconsin Brett became the head coach at Arkansas. In his remarks one of the reasons he left was that the SEC is a better football conference. The SEC does have Alabama and Georgia who seem to be in the playoffs every year. Arkansas has never gotten close partly because Alabama and Georgia take all the best best players.
When Brett was the coach at Wisconsin he won three Big Ten championships. He finished with a 68-24 record at the university which, is second to Barry Alvarez. Bielema was always in the top four of the Big Ten. Brett got some of the best recruits in Wisconsin history.
Now he is the coach of Illinois and is coming to camp Randall. Wisconsin fans are ready to boo him. Bret did achieve a lot at Wisconsin, but it’s the was the way he left fans hate. Bielema had conversations behind Barry’s back for weeks with Arkansas. Bret got fired from Arkansas in 2017. He only lasted four years his record was 29-34.
Wisconsin Will beat Illinois this weekend.
