Should The Brewers Trade For Jesus Aguilar

On July 6th the Brewers traded for Rowdy Tellez. Milwaukee has had problems at first base this whole year. Daniel Vogelbach straining his hamstring didn’t help the situation. Daniels batting average this year is .216. Jace Peterson has been the player for them since Vogelbach injury at first base. The Brewers are in trouble if Peterson is your first baseman. He is having a great year offensively but, Milwaukee needs to get a true first baseman. Now let’s talk about what this post is about “should the Brewers trade for Jesus Aguilar”?. I can see some advantages for them signing him but there are also some disadvantages. First advantage is he is comfortable at American Family Field and has shown he can hit well. The second advantage is he knows quite a few people on the team and in the organization. The third is he is a true first baseman. the final advantage is he is hitting a .269 which is better than any other first baseman on the Brewers.

The first disadvantage is his age. the Second disadvantage he is getting older and your body breaks down more often as you get older. Another disadvantage I want to bring up is we have to trade something for him. Now with all the advantages and disadvantages I have discussed. I still believe they should trade for him. Milwaukee needs a first baseman and he should be quite cheap.
