This week the Packers are going to sell stock shares for the first time in ten years. Green Bay is going to update the concourse and upgrade the video screen with the money they raise. A lot of Packer fans, including myself, are very excited to hear about the sale. The sale started on November 16 at 8 CST. Green Bay is selling a total of 300,000 shares at 300 dollars a share. The sale is going through February 2022 or until they are all sold out. Mark Murphy once said, he doesn’t think they will have another sale for the next ten to twenty years. The last time they sold the shares they were selling for 250 dollars, so if you want to buy stock, this is the time. You never know how much more expensive they will be, my guess is 350 dollars or above.
Lambeau Field is an old stadium, so repairs are going to get more and more expensive. This means they are going to ask for more money, therefore a higher price per share. The stock is not worth anything on the Stock Exchange, so don’t buy it to sell on the exchange. The coolest thing about being a shareholder, is you are a part owner of a NFL franchise. There is no other NFL team, that a fan can own a share of which makes Green Bay unique.
