Are The Bucks Ready To Repeat?

The Bucks picked up Serge Ibaka at the trade deadline. He came over in a four team trade involving the Bucks, Pistons, Kings, and the Clippers. We sent Donte Divincenzo to Sacramento. The Pistons received Michael Bagley and the Clippers got Rodney Hood and Semi Ojeleye. Milwaukee also got two second round picks and cash in the trade.

Now that Serge Ibaka is with the Bucks, we have someone to replace Brook Lopez. Brook has missed every game this year since the first game. The one position people said we needed to improve is the center position. I think we did that with this trade. Semi and Rodney both did not add anything to this team, so it’s not a big loss. The Bucks did open up two roster spots with trading both of them. This means that we will be active in the buyout market. As I am writing this, it’s being reported that the Bucks are going to sign DeAndre Bembry. He is a small forward/shooting guard. This leaves one more open roster spot to fill.

Milwaukee is siting in the number two spot in the Eastern conference. Now with the two additions, I think we could push for the number one spot in the East. We already had a good team without the two new additions, but with them we are a better team.

Serge Ibaka won a NBA championship with Toronto a couple years ago. This means he knows what it takes to win a championship. Both Bembry and Ibaka should be able to get open shots, because of Giannis positioning on the court. They should also be able to rebound the ball which should help us too.

Overall, I think we are siting in a great spot to repeat, if everyone works together. The Bucks will have to fill that final spot and hopefully it’s a guard.
