Wisconsin took on Purdue at the Kohl Center for a share of the Big Ten. It was a well played game by both sides. The Badgers came out victorious with a 70-67 final score. All the big stars made big plays throughout the game but, nobody was better than Chucky Hepburn. Chucky started the game hot and had eleven points at halftime. In the second half he did get into some foul trouble which, meant somebody had to take the reins and produce. Johnny Davis was that guy. He hit big shots when they needed them and got multiple players in foul trouble.
Johnny Davis finished the game with sixteen points and eight rebounds. Tyler Wahl played very well too. He finished with a team high nineteen points and two rebounds. Wahl also made life for Edey a living hell. Zac Edey did end with seventeen points and nine rebounds which usually is a good game. Tyler was able to get whatever he wanted against Edey offensively. Jaden Ivey had twenty two points and made a huge three pointer to tie it up with eight seconds to go.
The biggest shot in the game came from Chucky Hepburn. He threw up a three point shot and banked it in with 1.5 seconds to go. Wisconsin now holds a share of the big ten title. The Badgers play Nebraska this Saturday, and if they win Wisconsin will own the title outright. This is Greg Gard’s second Big Ten regular season title. His first title was in 2020.
