Badgers O-LINE LOOKS BETTER THIS YEAR

After last years debacle with the O-line Rudolph left and Bostad came. Over the last couple years our offensive line has looked mediocre at best. Paul Chryst couldn’t fire his best friend even though I think he knew he needed a change. The news broke this offseason that Rudy was going to leave and go to Virginia Tech to be their Offensive line coach and pass coordinator.

This left the door open for a new offensive coordinator and a need for a new offensive line coach. Bob Bostad was Wisconsin’s O-line coach years ago and put a lot of players in the NFL. Most of those players went in the first and second round of the draft. Over the last couple of years the highest a Badger offensive linemen went was the fourth round. A bit different from what Bob produced when he coach offensive line.

Bob Bostad has already made changes to the offensive line putting people in different position, that fit them better. Wisconsin fans should see a better more together offensive line which should open up more hole for Allen. It also should give Mertz more time to throw. We all have seen what he can do with time in the pocket. Now that Wisconsin has a true offensive coordinator Bobby Engram, they should be more balance offensive which should help the line too.

Overall, I think we will be a better offensive team with the additions of Bostad and Engram. Our defense is already great under Jim Leonard. Wisconsin should be up on top with the best of them. Now they have to go and prove it. I can’t wait to see this years team.

ON Wisconsin!!
