What Brewers Need Before the Trade Deadline

This year the Brewers have a very solid starting rotation. They have a good left side of the infield and also have a good outfield. Their only need is a First Baseman. Milwaukee is playing Hiura and Vogelbach for the time being. Daniel Vogelbach is injured right now. He hurt his hamstring running home against Arizona, but still scored. Keston Hiura has had an up and down season, so far, which is the reason we need another first baseman. The Brewers can’t have a revolving door, at that position, like in the past. The last first baseman we had, for multiple years, was Prince Fielder from 2006-2011. Milwaukee has a couple of prospects. They could trade to get one, but they might be a rental for this year. The draft this year is right before the trade deadline, so you could always draft a first baseman for the future.

If they decide to go this route, after the season, Milwaukee could sign a guy on a two or three year deal. The Brewers would have to make sure they hit on the draft pick, so after those two or three years, he will be ready. They can still play Hiura or Vogelbach at first, just not as much, if they trade for a first baseman. I think we have a good enough team. We just need that one last piece.
