IS WISCONSIN’S RUN GAME BACK?

After watching the Badgers take down the Boilermakers on Saturday, I think they are back. Wisconsin has found their two top running backs. One is Braelon Allen, a 17 year old freshman, and the other is sophomore, Chez Mulusi. Chez is the lead back with Braelon as the change of pace back. When the season started everybody thought Jalen Berger was going to be the starting running back, but he lost out to transfer, Chez Mulusi. The badgers have kicked off three running backs this year including Jalen Berger two weeks ago. Chez has looked solid all year he was sixth in the big ten with 90 yards rushing a game. That was before the Purdue game, now I think he is fourth. Braelon Allen had a breakout game against Army and followed it up with a big game against Purdue.

Graham Mertz still needs to get better, but in the meantime, we are starting to have a run game forming. Wisconsin’s next game is against Iowa, so we should be ok, because we have always been able to run on them. Mertz will have to complete a few passes, somewhere around ten to twelve, to keep us running the ball. If we are able to run the ball and Graham can complete the passes, he needs to, we should win. The next game we play is Rutgers, which we should be able to run on, so you see a trend is happening. I look at our remaining games and I don’t see why we can’t win them all. We have four out of the five games at home. The only road game is at Minnesota at the end of the season.

The last thing I have to say, if Chez and Braelon can keep this running game up, with the help our line blocking, our team will be fine. We should make it back to Indy.

ON WISCONSIN!!
