After Wisconsin beat Iowa and Rutgers, I would say yes. This is why Wisconsin is the best in the West. Wisconsin found their running game. Mertz is becoming the game manager we need him to be. The Badgers schedule sets up well with Northwestern, Nebraska, and Minnesota. Wisconsin should take care of Northwestern and Nebraska with ease, but Minnesota is a different story. The Badgers are getting respect again, since the winning streak. Chez and Braelon are a great dual running the ball. Kendrick Pryor and Danny Davis are both playing a lot better too. The offense is improving, which is good to see. Wisconsin’s defense is still number one in the country. If the Badgers offense is as good as the defense, that is why Wisconsin is the best in the west.
This Saturday is a big game, even though we should win it. The game is against Northwestern a thorn in our side. In years past Northwestern has beaten us even when we went to the Rose Bowl. They play the same style of football that we do, which helps them. Their defensive coordinator, until this year, worked for Barry at Wisconsin. The next game I am not worried about at all, because we have owned Nebraska since joining the Big Ten. Minnesota will be difficult, because they are our border rival. We both want the Axe and since PJ Fleck arrived, they have played better against us every year. Paul Chryst has only lost once, as the head coach of Wisconsin, which is a good sign.
The final thing I will say is let’s go out there and show them we are the best by beating the West.
