On Saturday, Green Bay plays the San Fransisco 49ers. The 49ers beat Dallas on the wildcard weekend. Everybody is saying that this is a bad matchup for the Packers. San Fransisco is a run first team, which could give us trouble. We are getting back ZaDarius Smith and Whitney Mercilus possibility. Both ZaDarius and Whitney practice this week. If they play, I think we can stop the run which would make Jimmy G have to pass the ball. Green Bay is getting Jaire Alexander back for this game. Green Bay should be able to beat them easier, if they are forced to pass the ball.
San Fransisco is a very good team and it’s going to be a tough game. The key to the game for me is stopping Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell. If the Packers can do that, we will win no problem, but if we can’t stop them we might lose. I think that with the players that we are getting back on defense, we should be able to stop the run.
Green Bay should be getting Billy Turner back and Lucas Patrick too. The key to the game on offense is being able to run the ball. This means we need both AJ Dillion and Aaron Jones both to play well. When we lost in the NFC championship game in 2019, we did not have AJ. He should help by getting the short yardage that we couldn’t get in the past. Aaron Rodgers should have a good game, since he has all or most of his targets healthy.
My final prediction is: Green Bay 24 San Fransisco 17
