The Brewers open their first home series with a sweep of the Mets. Milwaukee scored twenty six runs in the three games. They scored nineteen unanswered runs in the first two games. In the final game Milwaukee won seven to six on a walk off home run by Garrett Mitchell. This series was led by the rookies Mitchell,Turang, and Wiemer. Turang hit a grand slam in the first game. Mitchell hit three home runs in the series. Weimer also hit one dinger too. Turang hit his first ever home game at American Family Field. His parents were at the game, which was really special for his family. If the Brewers can play like this for the rest of the season it will be a special season. The season is way too young to predict how the Brewers will finish, but it’s a good start of the year. All Brewer pitchers have gone five innings or more expect twice. When you can get quality starts from the pitching staff it’s always a good thing.
