I want to congratulate Craig Counsell on tying the manager record for most wins. The Brewers won their last game. Craig Counsell has now tied Phil Garner with 563 wins. This means when they win their next game he will be the all-time winningest manager in Brewer history. He has done this in just less than eight years. I know people that thought that he would not last as the manager. The only reason they hired him was because he was the home town guy people said.
Craig Counsell is a manager that is big into analytics. He was a great utility player which brought him two world series rings. when you look at his teams as a manager they have quite a lot of utility players on them. He has had the benefit of having great general managers who draft well. Milwaukee is known for their great pitching which are mostly home grown players. They are one of the reasons that the Brewers win and he has one of the sharpest baseball minds in the MLB.
Overall, this is a good accomplishment but, I think there are many more wins in his future. If the Brewers can keep him in Milwaukee we might see a world series in the near future as well.
